“La Bohème” is located in the Steinmatte district. Access is by lift from Riedstrasse. You’ll find all the lift stations within a five to 10 minute walk. The cable cars and trains will take you up to Zermatt’s fascinating mountain world – a world which will make the hearts of every skier, snowboarder, biker and hiker, beat a little faster.
And you don’t have to go up the mountain to enjoy sporting activities – in the summer months, Zermatt has a sports arena including several tennis courts and in the winter, a large ice rink within a few minutes walk from La Bohème.
Your culinary desires will be very well catered for in Zermatt – from rustic Valaisan specialties to exotic sushi, Zermatt has it all. Bars and nightclubs have seen their fair share of celebrities (and in turn have even become famous themselves), shops and stores that cater for all your needs – from everyday products, trendy sports gear and clothing to exclusive watches and jewellery.
Zermatt is easy to get to by train from all airports and cities. You can book tickets to Zermatt at all Swiss train stations or online. The Swiss National Railways (SBB) will take you to Visp and from there you have to change onto the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) for the rest of your journey up to Zermatt.
No matter where you’re driving from, head in the direction of Visp. From Geneva, Basel or Zurich, it’s a 2.5 to 3.5 hour drive to Visp. From Visp, drive up the valley towards Zermatt and stop at Täsch. Cars are not permitted in Zermatt so you should park your car at the Matterhorn Terminal or one of the other car parks in Täsch. From Täsch you can either take the shuttle train or taxi to Zermatt. The journey is around 10 minutes.
For stays of three nights or more, we offer a free transfer from the transfer point (if you come by taxi from Täsch) or from Zermatt train station (if you come by train from Täsch). Please contact us in advance so that we can organize the transfer.
